Natural wicker has been popular as outdoor furniture for many years. These days, synthetic versions of wicker furniture are made with plastic or resin wicker which is a commercial polymer. The wicker is typically made from polyethylene (PE) plastic resins. Unlike natural wicker, it’s lightweight and it is easily maintained and lasts for many years with limited maintenance. It’s moisture resistance is one of the key benifits of using this duarble raw material. Often synthetic wicker is sold as poly rattan, poly-wicker, all-weather rattan furniture, or rattan outdoor furniture.

We hold strong environmental values and place our values before profits and have only used 100% plantation hardwood timber for all our outdoor furniture ranges. We would suggest you only ever purchase timber products that carry the FSC symbol or 100% plantation hardwood symbol as this goes a long way to ensure timbers are being harvested from renewable forests. Our Acacia Mangium plantation hardwood settings even carry a 3 year warranty.
